How to Enjoy Electronic Poker

[ English ]

Video Poker is a popular game that usually will be gambled on in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at your house on your computer, using an Internet account. The regulations are very simple and involve the player attempting to achieve the highest mixture of cards possible in order to come away with money. On this account it is very similar as a regular game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A five card hand will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and bettors will need to now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.

After the player has decided on which cards she would like to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be handed out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning enthusiasts are agile enough to pick the most beneficial game each instance.

As soon as the initial round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the bettor a chance to double their winnings, in which case another hand is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
